JDog Junk Removal & Hauling of Wayne has launched the JDog Joint Chiefs Advisory Board, headed by two high-profile veterans, retired Marine Major General Douglas O’Dell and retired Army Captain Larry Liss, one of the most highly decorated helicopter pilots of the Vietnam War.

O’Dell was formerly a member of the Homeland Security Council, appointed by President George W. Bush to coordinate Gulf Coast rebuilding following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. O’Dell was also responsible for U.S. embassy security around the world and currently consults on logistics management, disaster relief operations and economic development in the United States and Afghanistan.

Liss was a combat Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam and currently advises major global corporations. He regularly lobbies on behalf of veteran’s affairs and employment issues.

The company plans to expand the board to include veteran leaders from all branches of the military and Coast Guard as the company expands franchises.

“Since the most recent war, there has been no improvement from the government in helping veterans find meaningful careers as they exit the service,” said O’Dell. “Veterans are offered little guidance as they rejoin civilian life, so it’s clear the private sector needs to take on this responsibility. That’s why growing companies like JDog are so important.”
