New Bentley Acquisition To Aid In Asset Performance Modeling

By

Bentley Systems, the Exton software company that has built its business on helping governments and utility companies sustain their built infrastructure, is now embarking on a strategy to help those clients predict the future of their buildings, bridges and utilities too.

Bentley recently acquired C3global and its Amulet software in order to add asset performance modeling to its AssetWise monitoring, inspection, maintenance and compliance platform, according to a Herald Online report, and the merger is a win for both companies.

“Given the unprecedented convergence of big data from the Internet of Things, hybrid computing and (building information modeling’s) advancement of functional engineering models, joining with Bentley to introduce asset performance modeling for industrial-scale infrastructure was absolutely compelling,” C3global CEO David Smith said in the article.

For Bentley’s clients, AssetWise Amulet will facilitate “more effective decision making” and “can reduce costs, increase efficiency and drive higher performance,” ARC Advisory Group Senior Analyst Paula Hollywood said.
