"Portrait of Shorty", Painted the year Jamie Wyeth turned 17. From Museum of Fine Art Boston.

The first major retrospective of the works of Jamie Wyeth is being featured at the Brandywine River Museum of Art, now through April 5.

The exhibit of more than 100 pieces looks at six decades of the artist’s career and charts the evolution of his creative process from early childhood drawings to the recurring themes inspired by the people, places and objects that populate his world.15707757104578927138

The showcase was originally organized and exhibited by the Museum of Fine Art Boston and is now traveling throughout the country.

The museum is also hosting lectures, tours and special events during the retrospective, with the full schedule here.

The event is sponsored by Natalie and Herb Kohler on behalf of Kohler Co., and by David and Lisa Spartin.
