PREIT, owner of the Exton Square Mall, could be heading for another bankruptcy filing just under a month before its credit facilities with a $1.1 billion balance are set to mature.

Never mind that visit to Santa – art created by West Chester Area School District students is on display at the Exton Square Mall Gallery.  The gallery is open from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays until Dec. 21.

Approximately 75 pieces including drawings, paintings, sculptures, photography and graphic arts are on display within the gallery.

“The best part of teaching art is watching each student’s creativity, confidence and problem solving skills shine,” said Heather Whitehead, Peirce Middle School art teacher.  “We hope the public sees how many talented and hardworking students we have in the West Chester Area School District.”

While none of the artwork within the gallery is for sale, the community is welcome to reach out to the art teachers at each school to further discuss acquiring the art.

Other holiday happenings at the mall, including band and choral performances, are listed here.
