Malvern Cashless Tech Gives Food Service Vendor Immediate 17% Bump In Sales

On the heels of a vast 2,500-machine install for Five Star Food Service, the ePort Connect Service cashless payment solution pioneered by Malvern-based USA Technologies has delivered an immediate 17 percent year-over-year top-line sales increase, according to a Business Wire report.

12.18.2014 Alan Recher“Five Star was an early adopter of cashless payments technology,” President and CEO Alan Recher said in the announcement.

“We partnered with USA Technologies because of their leadership in the market and their ability to assist us with deployment planning and performance reporting to ensure we were getting the most from our investment. We realized that, in order to capture every sale, increase margins and effectively compete in today’s cashless world, we needed to accelerate our deployment and move forward quickly to install ePorts on more of our machines. USAT has been guiding and supporting us every step of the way, and we are already seeing great results.”

The Five Star project represents a fourth of USA’s quarterly connections, and Five Star is pressing on en route to a total of 6,000 ePort-connected machines.
