Expansion Of The County Cup Is ‘Tremendous Opportunity’ To Build Student Job Skills

By

Equipping students with real-life job skills is a growing business in Chester County — literally. The County Cup, a unique melting pot for aspiring chefs, food service workers and students overcoming disabilities, recently celebrated its first expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location in West Chester’s Justice Center.

“The County Cup is making a difference in lives and creating career opportunities,” Chester County Commissioner Ryan Costello, Esq., said in a press release.

The “grab-and-go cafe” serves the public breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts, Wawa coffee and cold beverages every weekday from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The food and customer service fields are booming,” Project Manager Scot Semple added in the article. “If students can find their niche in one of those areas by working at the County Cup, they are headed in the right direction as far as picking up valuable skills.”
