Pohlig Builders, the Malvern custom luxury home builder led by brothers Todd and Don, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a success story built on the principles of staying local and really listening to its clients.

“People think the construction business is about the product, and really, it’s about the people,” Todd Pohlig said in a recent Main Line Times feature. “It really, really is about relationships over time. That’s probably been the key to our success, the relationships we’ve developed.”

Those relationships have led to everything from small renovations to the 500 Main Line homes built as large as 20,000 square feet, to entire subdivisions and the luxury Athertyn senior condominium community at Haverford Reserve.

“The experience of building a custom home is pretty unique,” he said in the article. “You start with ideas on a piece of paper, and then you watch that be built in front of your eyes, and then the customer gets to live their dream. It’s quite amazing.”
