Citadel Federal Credit Union has just opened its newest full-service branch office at 401 Upland Square Drive in Pottstown.
“We are excited to introduce area residents to our newest branch, and to the benefits of banking with Citadel,” said Jeff March, Citadel president and CEO. “Our expansion into Montgomery County is further testament to our commitment to providing the very best value on a full range of banking services, and the convenience of having Citadel branches where customers live and work.”
Citadel, headquartered in Exton, began 75 years ago as a credit union for employees of Lukens Steel in Coatesville. It now has more than 150,000 customers and more than $1.8 billion in assets.
The new branch has two self-service teller machines stationed in the lobbies to expedite self-service transactions, enhance staff efficiencies and add a more consultative approach to customers’ banking needs. It also has two full-service drive-thru lanes, an automation-enabled drive up ATM, and a self-service coin machine. Citadel offers free checking, low rates on loans, and a variety of tools such as online and mobile banking.
This year Citadel opened three Montgomery County branches and a new office in Glen Mills. The company’s first Bucks County branch will open in early 2015 in Warminster.
Citadel is providing limited-time special promotions at the Pottstown branch, and will have grand opening events Oct. 24-25.
