Malvern-based Acme Markets is rushing to alert customers of a rotten malware bug that may have collected credit and debit card numbers, expiration dates and names at stores in Pennsylvania and across the country.

Fortunately, the company said “it does not believe any customer data was stolen,” according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report of the malicious attack.

Customers who shopped between June 22 and July 17 or Aug. 27 and Sept. 21 are being asked to watch for suspicious activity on their accounts.
