Bankmobile Taps Dawn Melesko To Direct Social Media Efforts

Dawn Melesko is the new director of social media for BankMobile, a division of Customers Bank, which will soon launch its mobile and tablet banking platform.

The firm calls Melesko a passionate and experienced marketer who has more than seven years of experience in social media marketing, most recently as vice president for social media at Webster Bank.

“We are simply delighted that Dawn has joined the revolution we call BankMobile,” said Luvleen Sidhu, BankMobile chief strategy officer.

“She has an unparalleled energy and an unmatched creativity. These are qualities that are essential to our marketing efforts, which make her a truly welcome addition.”

While at Webster Bank Melesko shared her experience in developing and leading a social media customer service team as a featured panelist at the Argyle Executive Forum’s Leadership in Social Media Customer Service forum, and helped local business owners learn how to manage their online community and develop content at two Connecticut Business Expos.

When she was social media director for GO media, Melesko was responsible for launching and maintaining social media presence for clients in multiple industries, including prominent educational facilities and athletic programs, hospitality organizations and lifestyle companies.

“I am thrilled to bring my passion and experience in social media marketing to the BankMobile team in order to help launch an innovative mobile banking experience designed to financially empower our customer’s lives,” said Melesko.

Melesko will speak in New York City on Nov.5 during the next Argyle Executive Forum’s Leadership in Customer Care forum, and on Nov. 6 at the Advanced Learning Institute’s Executive Digital Marketing Conference.

Customers Bank is based in Wyomissing. BankMobile will be an independent operating Digital Banking Division of Customers Bank and also of Customers Bancorp.
