AmerisourceBergen Rolls Out New Advertising Campaign

Mirrored words describing opposite but complementary assets are the concept behind AmerisourceBergen’s first-ever comprehensive advertising campaign.

The initiative by Chester County’s only Fortune 500 company (#28) and one of the world’s largest providers of pharmaceutical sourcing and distribution services focuses on how the company’s diverse range of expertise and skills complement each other to create a strong, dynamic and unified brand.

“We’ve created a bold, new way to describe the essence of who we are, what we do and the value we provide to our customers and partners across all aspects of healthcare delivery,” said Steve Collis, AmerisourceBergen president and CEO.

“I’m proud to share the stories of our knowledge, reach and partnership – our core differentiators – and how we are responding to a more consumer-driven healthcare environment as an opportunity to shape healthcare delivery for our customers and for patients around the world.”

The advertising campaign, viewable here and below, shows how the firm combines the talents of its 13,000 employees to harness both  horsepower and brainpower, computers as well as compassion, and hindsight along with foresight.

This is the synergy driving the global firm as it drives a pharmaceutical supply chain and realizes $100 billion in revenue annually.

“This campaign gives us a voice to speak about how we work collaboratively every day from clinical trials, to commercialization, to patient support and everything in between,” said Gina Clark, chief marketing officer. “We believe everyone is a consumer, and we are excited to reintroduce our breadth and depth and our impact on patients to consumers who happen to work in the healthcare industry.”

AmerisourceBergen was founded in 2001 when AmeriSource Health Corporation merged with Bergen Brunswig Corporation.  The firm now has 30 pharmaceutical and specialty distribution centers and works with its brand Good Neighbor Pharmacies to shape healthcare delivery.

Recently AmerisourceBergen announced plans to create at least 185 new jobs in the next few years as it renovates and then leases Millennium III, an office building in Conshohocken. The company plans to make a multi-million dollar investment at the site, but keep its presence in Chesterbrook.
