Jeff White, formerly CEO of FingerWorks, and Mark Thompson, formerly CTO of ING Direct, have joined Walnut St. Labs in West Chester to commercialize a series of new cloud computing technologies developed through the lab’s innovation incubator.

White and Thompson will be working with the lab’s managing partners Chris Dima, Kevin Fleming and Michael Guttman.

“We are thrilled to be working with Jeff and Mark,” said Fleming. “They understand our vision for helping technology innovators bring their ideas to market, and they both bring an extensive track record of successfully selling and licensing such technology.”

FingerWorks was acquired by Apple in 2005.  Prior to Fingerworks, White spent 16 years at Hewlett Packard in a variety of senior management positions in enterprise computing. He is also a cofounder of Trestle Ventures, a venture fund and angel network based in West Chester, and is CEO of Media Analytics, a company he founded.

Thompson is the former CTO of ING Direct (now part of Capital One). He is a member of that firm’s founding team and developed innovative technologies that helped to grow the company from a start-up to one with over five million customers in just four years. For five years Thompson worked in government intelligence, both as a U.S. Marine and as a government employee.  He is currently CTO at Media Analytics, which he co-founded.

Walnut St. Labs is an early stage startup incubator and innovation consultancy working with startups to build products and bring them quickly to market. The lab also offers affordable co-working space and weekly events for startups and entrepreneurs.
