West Chester University’s Department of Social Work has one of the most affordable graduate programs in the U.S.

The department was one of 25 “best bargains” listed in the online Social Work Degree Guide.  The guide ranks the universities by order of quality and affordability, and WCU’s department is number 21 on the list.

The 25 most affordable degree programs were selected from a list of 100 top graduate programs in social work as rated by U.S. News and World Report. Each school was ranked by tuition cost and assigned a number on a scale of highest to lowest. Every school in Social Work Degree Guide’s article has tuition fees that are well below the average cost for MSW programs.

The guide considers WCU to be the 74th best college, 21st top public school and 24th best university for veterans.  WCU’s master of social work program is focused on connecting the theoretical contribution of the classroom with the practical world through two nine-month field education placements, giving students 1,008 hours of experience.  The tuition cost is $7,956.
