Verizon Opens New SMART Store In Downingtown
Verizon Wireless on June 5 opened a new SMART store at 32 Quarry Road, between Wegman’s and Regal Cinemas in Downingtown.
On hand for the grand opening were Guy Ciarrocchi, president of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry; Donald P. Ash, chairman of the board of supervisors in East Caln Township; Jeannine L. Lisitski, executive director of Women Against Abuse; and Jared Mullen, district manager for Verizon Wireless.
Verizon Wireless is celebrating the occasion with a $20,000 donation to Philadelphia-based Women Against Abuse, one of the largest domestic violence prevention agencies in the country. The check will go to the agency’s “Pass Along Hope” campaign.
Smart Stores are Verizon’s nationwide effort to take the wireless customer experience to the next level. Smart Stores engage customers by allowing them to discover what wireless technology can do for their mobile lifestyles.
Verizon opened its first SMART Store in Hawaii in 2013. The stores are organized in interactive lifestyle zones to demonstrate wireless devices, accessories and apps to fit different customer interests and needs. Lifestyle zones include Get Fit, Amplify It, Home and ON the Go, Anywhere Business and Customize It.
The local store is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and may be reached at 610-518-3200.
