The homegrown leader of Chester County’s own potato chip giant, Herr Foods Inc., was slated to share a few recipes for success with new graduates of Immaculata University last weekend.

For Ed Herr, two of the key ingredients have been a love of honest hard work and a love of people, according to an interview published at Philly.com.

“When I think of a whole group of people graduating, with different degrees, they could all go in different directions,” said the president of the $250 million family business. “But anyone who’s aspiring to be successful — to be happy, to be a leader — is going to do that through their interactions with people.

“… If you don’t hear anything else today, my message is, ‘Love people like crazy. Love people like crazy.'”
