Chester County Chamber To Recognize Achievements Of Local Women During Annual Dinner
The Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry will host their annual Women-in-Business Dinner and recognize Kymberly Robinson, female business leader of the year, on Wednesday, May 14.
The dinner celebrating the accomplishments of local women will be from 5:30- 8:30 pm at Waynesborough Country Club. The Chamber will also honor Aleda Loughman, formerly president of Somat Corp.
Keynote speaker for the dinner will be Carolyn Comitta, the first female mayor of West Chester. Comitta is vice president and chief financial officer of Thomas Comitta Associates, town planners and landscape architects. The firm, with offices in West Chester and Lancaster, has served 50 municipalities for over 35 years. Comitta formerly worked in the Octorara Area School District as a special and gifted education curriculum specialist and teacher. Since 1988, she has been a member of the board of directors of World Information Transfer, Inc., a non-profit, non-governmental educational organization in General Consultative Status at the United Nations. The organization focuses on health and environmental issues.
Robinson will be recognized for her professional achievements, initiative in the community, and leadership for other women in business. Robinson is chief executive officer at Stratus Interactive in West Chester. The full-service marketing firm fully embraces the digital world and for 20 years has helped clients engage with their target audiences in new and innovative ways. The company was recently named a Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winner by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Robinson founded three successful companies, two of which have since merged. She nurtures reciprocity, diligence, positivity and atmospheres where achievement is praised and encouraged. Robinson is active within the community and in several organizations as well as the Chamber.
The evening will include cocktail networking, followed by dinner. Individual tickets are $90 per member with advance registration. The non-member ticket price is $130.
