West Chester based Boxcar Brewing Company has opened a brewpub at 142 East Market Street, in addition to its Westtown Brewery.

With current distribution in six eastern Pennsylvania counties, and soon moving into New Jersey and Delaware, owners Jamie and Kymberly Robinson wanted to create a comfortable locale for the community to come enjoy their beer.

The Brewpub, inhabiting the former location of The Note in downtown West Chester, feels like a hybrid between a casual, comfortable living room and a speak-easy.  It’s full of plush couches and comfortable lounge chairs, as well as arcade games and toys that adults will remember fondly from their childhood like SEGA and Candy Land. With the community in mind, the Robinsons designed the pub to serve as a music venue with a stage and excellent sound system.

With the comprehensive Boxcar beer line available, the knowledgeable staff will help you find something to your taste.  Need a place to host your next party or event? The Boxcar Brewpub holds over 400 with an upstairs wine and cider bar that can be closed off for private parties.  To pair with your Boxcar Brew, the pub features a rotating menu of local foods- just last week partnering with another West Chester favorite, Carlino’s specialty foods.
