1453214111Ed Rahme of Kennett Square’s THINK Architecture presented architectural plans for a future life care village at the 2016 LIVE Conference, writes Glenn Rolfe for the Sussex County (Del.) Post.

The proposed CHEER Life Care Village would be developed by the CHEER Community Center on Sand Hill Road, east of Georgetown, Del.

The current plans would create 50 cottage-type units, 120 apartments for independent living, 120 units for assisted living, along with a nursing component of 120 beds, a clubhouse, and one or two medical arts buildings.

If approved, the project would start at the end of next summer.

“The whole thing is like a microcosm of the United States, where you have a city and downtown and then you have the suburbs around the downtown,” said Rahme.
