Honey Brook-based R-V Industries has purchased a new facility with both office and industrial manufacturing space that will allow it to expand, writes Brad Rhen for the Reading Eagle.

The new, 44,000-square-foot building is on a 13-acre plot just a short distance from R-V’s headquarters.

“This purchase helps facilitate our growth plans and optimize efficiencies by consolidating locations,” said R-V president and CEO Kirk A. Putt. “We are committed to U.S.-based manufacturing and believe the local southeastern Pennsylvania community offers a unique work ethic and high level of integrity, both core values of our company.”

The building will now undergo renovations that are expected to be completed by mid-2020, according to R-V’s marketing manager, Robert Hamm.

“We’re looking forward to having space there for assembly, maybe to showcase products, maybe to do some customer training,” he said. “We’re going to have office space there, as well as additional warehouse space.”

The company currently has manufacturing facilities in Honey Brook, Morgantown, and Exton. It currently employs 270 people and is actively hiring. Hamm expects that the new facility will allow the company to hire even more employees.
