Two Philadelphia eateries ranked among the best burger spots in the country according to the recently published “Yelp’s Top 100 Burgers in America” list for 2023, according to a staff report from The Morning Call.

Yelp compiled the list using the rankings and ratings left on its page. According to Yelp, diners are being more experimental this year and are gravitating toward more unconventional burgers.

Philadelphia’s HipCityVeg, which also has an Ardmore location, ranked at No. 27. The 100 percent vegan eatery serves both unconventional burgers and vegan versions of comfort foods.

The menu includes delicious offerings such as The Ziggy, a bacon cheeseburger with provolone, organic tempeh bacon, lettuce, onion, pickle, and special sauce on a toasted bun.

“You can’t even tell it’s vegan food it’s that good!!” wrote Yelper Sarah S.

Meanwhile, Bubblefish, a Japanese spot in Philadelphia, ranked at No. 75. In addition to bubble tea and sushi, the restaurant also serves a signature sushi burger. It is created using sushi rice in place of the bun and Hawaiian tuna chopped and mixed with spicy mayonnaise to serve as a patty.
