Phoenixville-based Bluebird Distilling’s founder Jared Adkins is being spotlighted in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 under 40, writes Lisa Dukart for the journal.

The distillery distributes spirits to over 300 restaurants in The Keystone State. It also recently launched its online services, bringing the brand to 41 new states.

Adkins is also the founder of the café and cocktail establishment, Char & Stave, which made its debut in Ardmore last year

He won’t stop there, as 37-year-old Adkins said that he hopes to expand the distillery and cafes before he turns forty. He hopes to “increase distribution internationally.”

He recently launched a limited-edition whiskey by partnering with country musician Jordan Davis, to also Davis’s album release.

But in the more distant future, Adkins said he also wants to open his own creamery.

Bluebird Distillery creates all of the spirits by scratch on-site. The establishment also has a cocktail bar for guests to sip on after learning about the distilling process.
