Jason Moore was once chief of solutions officer at Brinker. He is set to be the CEO for Ategenos.

A dozen former colleagues are banding together for the hard launch of their new investment business in Berwyn. Ategenos Capital is taking a different route than its founders’ former place of employment, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Founded last spring, the focus of Ategenos will be serving non-U.S. residents seeking safe investments in U.S. companies.

Twelve of the thirteen new employees of Ategenos have previously worked at Brinker Capital, which merged into Orion Advisor Solutions. Soon-to-be Ategenos CEO Jason Moore was the chief solutions officer at Brinker. He says that the key difference between the two companies is that Atgenos will not have a sponsored platform.

“The broker-dealer community or the RIAs have engaged with technology providers that are out there today. And those technology providers are providing an open forum for investment solutions to be out and available,” he said.

Ategenos is currently in its second phase, awaiting SEC approval. The office will be in the Berwyn Park office development along Cassatt Road. The company hopes to get approval by June.
