Aldi has begun to expand in the northeast, with its newest storefront opening in West Chester later this month, writes Greg Sleter for StoreBrands.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 8:45 AM at 829 Paoli Pike.

With ongoing plans for growth, Aldi has added three new locations including West Chester, Philadelphia, and Long Island, N.Y. All three will open to the public on May 25.

The first 100 customers at each store will get a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Customers can enter for a chance to win a $500 gift card to Aldi during opening weekend.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Chris Daniels, South Windsor regional vice president. “We’re excited to open our first Aldi store in Hempstead and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
