The West Chester International Short Film Festival brings films from dozens of countries to the borough and is an annual celebration of the spirit of independent filmmaking and diverse voices from around the world.

This 17th edition of the Film Festival will feature an exciting flurry of short film blocks, workshops led by industry professionals, networking events, fantastic parties, and more and will be held from Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30 at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center.

“This year, the Fest is celebrating community,” said Victoria Rose, Sponsorship Coordinator. “From our own hometown to the communities we create online, from collaboration to facing challenges with the help of our friends, we know that we are all stronger when we come together.”

Forty-nine films will be shown from filmmakers around the world in every genre. In a single, two-hour block of films, audiences can experience the thrill of drama, an intriguing documentary, a creative art piece, whimsical animation, farcical comedy, and more.

Don’t miss the Opening Night Party, the Filmmakers Meet & Greet, or the Closing Night Awards Party — there is something for everyone all weekend long.

“We are thrilled to have some superb local films this year, which tell some really big international stories and highlight what makes West Chester so special,” said Carol Quigley, President of the WCFF. “Audiences are in for a treat, and we can’t wait to share what we have planned to make this our best Fest ever!”
