Full Charge Bookkeeper

This position will provide supervised bookkeeping services to clients using QuickBooks and Xero to include: set up, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll, inventory, depreciation, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, maintaining general ledger, posting adjusting journal entries, and preparing reports. He/she will also compile information for preparation of various government returns and reports; maintain communication with clients; and contribute to team effort by accomplishing results and assisting accountants with tax return preparation.

The ideal candidate will possess a two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field and/or comparable work experience in a public accounting environment, performing full-cycle accounting duties for multiple clients simultaneously. He/she will have working knowledge of general business practices, Microsoft Office applications, and accounting software (with a competency in Quickbooks and Xero).

Senior Accountant — Nonprofit Practice

This position will plan and execute the full scope of audit and accounting engagements for a variety of nonprofit organizations; serve as a liaison between the client and the Supervisor, Manager, or Director; and prepare, review, and analyze various financial statements. He/she will also stay compliant with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups and mentor new staff on assignments, while simultaneously performing efficiently on engagements.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and three to four years of public accounting experience in a nonprofit audit or accounting environment. He/she should also have CPA certification or evidence of working toward certification. Non-CPAs and/or non-accounting degrees with at least five years of nonprofit accounting experience will also be considered.

Senior Accountant — Tax & Small Business

This position will prepare complicated tax returns, including multi-state, dissolution, liquidation, etc.; make inquiries to various tax authorities; review changes in work performed from prior years, considering changes; and act as a liaison between the client and the Supervisor, Manager, or Director. He/she will demonstrate an ability to supervise and prioritize simultaneous engagements, including appropriate delegation of duties.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and three to four years of public accounting experience in an individual and business tax compliance environment. He/she should also have CPA certification or evidence of working toward certification as well as working knowledge of ProSystems/Axcess software, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and other programs related to tax planning, depreciation, and accounting.
