Ten-year-old Sammy Benson from West Chester was among the Phillies fans who flocked to BayCare Ballpark to see the Phillies’ 2022 National League Championship Series trophy in person, writes Paul Casella for mlb.com

Sammy was on vacation in Florida with his family when they decided to pay a visit to the nearby baseball stadium which is the home of Phillies spring training.

The trophy went on display in Clearwater on Friday and will remain there for the remainder of spring training. For the Benson family, this was the perfect opportunity to snap a picture with it.

“Last year was really cool,” said Sammy. “But I think they’ll be even better this year. I think, next year, we’ll be taking a picture with the World Series [trophy].”
