Baily’s Dairy at Pocopson Meadow Farm in West Chester is an ideal place to visit on the weekend to get a scoop of delicious ice cream or check out the farm animals, writes Beth Price-Williams for Only in Your State.

The sprawling dairy farm has been a neighborhood staple since 1874. It is one of the only remaining farms of its kind in the area.

Many families have been visiting the farm for years and have nothing but words of praise for its market and other offerings that include the friendly faces, joyful animals, and ice cream that is among the best in the region.

Adorable animals found all over the farm – such as goats, cows, and chickens – are always ready for a photo opp.

During the summer, Baily’s Dairy usually hosts an ice cream truck. One of the local favorites is the cantaloupe bowl – a delicious selection of ice cream served in a bowl made of cantaloupe.

Meanwhile, the market offers fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables, along with milk and more delicious ice cream.
