West Chester native and Henderson High School graduate Laura O’Connor is the Vice President of Operations at FourStone Partners, a local firm that offers business services to a variety of constituents in the workers’ compensation managed care marketplace.
“My primary focus is managing the FourStone Health Lab Management division of our company,” she said. “Identifying and offering solution-driven products and services to our clients is something that brings me tremendous satisfaction.”
O’Connor, who began working as a lifeguard at the YMCA when she was 15 years old, earned a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University. She credits Tom Shivers, FourStone’s founder and CEO, with having the biggest impact on her career.
“I’ve had the absolute privilege of working for Tom for six years, and he has been instrumental in the overall trajectory of my career,” said O’Connor. “His belief in my capabilities, continued mentorship, and industry knowledge have been driving factors in my success, and I am so appreciative and grateful.”
Her proudest professional achievement was the successful completion of FourStone’s latest acquisition.
“I oversaw the entire process, from staff onboarding and evaluations, client management, development and implementation of strategic workflows, overall processes improvement, and complete system-to-system migration,” she said.
O’Connor and the rest of the 2023 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 18 at Penn State Great Valley.
