It seems that most high-paying positions available in the job market are in the STEM field and involve math skills. While that may be true, there are also plenty of jobs out there that require a minimal amount of math. Here are high-paying jobs for the less mathematical folks, according to Business Insider.  

Library Sciences teacher 

Average salary: $77,100 

Library science professors conduct research and present their findings as well as educate pupils and evaluate projects. This field focuses on the collection, management and preservation of different forms of media.  

Director 

Average salary: $79,000 

Directors can work on film sets, television stations, news networks or radio programs.  

Ship Engineer 

Average salary: $82,410 

This position is perfect for people who feel landlocked. An engineer would be responsible for coordinating the operation of engines, machinery, and equipment.  

Occupational Therapist  

Average salary: $85,570 

An occupational therapist assists patients with injuries or disabilities to carry out daily tasks and activities.  

Lawyer  

Average salary: $126,930 

There are plenty of areas of law to pursue including criminal defense, entertainment, estate planning, family, or constitutional law.  

Orthodontist 

Average salary: $208,000  

Orthodontists install braces or other hardware to fix dental misalignment problems as well as oral cavities.
