The Media Business Authority will host the first-ever ICE ON STATE, A Winter Weekend in Media this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 14 and 15.

Artists from the world-famous Ice Sculpture Philly company will create custom ice sculptures, sponsored by local businesses and organizations. The glistening sculptures will be featured throughout the State Street District in downtown Media for the weekend.

The fun begins Saturday at Noon with a live carving of the “Everybody’s Hometown” logo at the clock tower at State and Plum Streets.

Don’t miss another live carving of a baby grand piano on Saturday at 4 PM in the Plum Street Mall sponsored by Morris Brothers Investments. Live music will be provided by the Media Arts Council which will also host a hospitality tent, serving beer by 2SP, hot chocolate, and adult beverage concoctions from Bluebird Distillery.

Pose with popular movie ice princesses on Sunday from 12-2 PM while the kids peek through a special snowflake sculpture, then head over to home-sewn for a free make-it-take-it craft on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM.

Take a picture with the I Love Media sculpture or a giant polar bear sponsored by Media Real Estate. Play cornhole on boards made from ice, sponsored by the Towne House.

Spend the whole day, night, or weekend in Everybody’s Hometown. Be sure to visit Media’s unique and wonderful mix of independent, family-owned shops and restaurants.

Ice sculptures will be on display from Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon or until the ice melts!
