A California firm is putting a stake in Chester County. EP Wealth Advisors acquired Exton’s investment advisory firm Warren Financial Services & Associates, closing the deal on Nov. 29, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

EP will be seeing nine additional employees from Warren as well as $274 million in assets. Warren’s Chief Compliance Officer Randal Warren will become the Senior Vice President and Partner at EP Wealth. EP currently has 320 employees.

“EP Wealth has clearly demonstrated a commitment to clients, and that became even more defined during our discussions,” said Warren in a statement.

“The additional depth and breadth of resources and services will allow us to focus on and enhance our client services and broaden our reach.”

EP Wealth says the partnership will allow clients to have more one-on-one time with their advisor, according to its website.
