West Chester University Women’s Soccer Team in Final Four of Division II National Championship
West Chester University women’s soccer team is having an amazing season and is just two wins away from a Division II National Championship, writes Matt Leon for KYW Newsradio.
The Golden Rams has made it to the Final Four for the first time in 16 years. The team recorded 22 wins, no ties, and one loss this season, allowed only seven goals, and shut-out their opponents 16 times.
Head coach Betty Ann Kempf Townsley enjoyed watching her team grow and learn throughout the season immensely.
“Each day never ceases to amaze me, especially with this group,” she said. “They are just like sponges, they want to learn, they like being together.”
The team will play in the semifinals on Thursday against Ferris State University in Seattle.
