If you are looking for the ‘pawfect’ place to truly spoil your dog, the recently opened Salty Paws in West Chester is the spot to go, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News

The ice cream bar and bakery is specifically designed for hungry and ice-cream loving dogs, as well as the occasional cat.

It offers a variety of scoopable ice cream flavors, including peanut butter, bacon, maple bacon, and pumpkin spice. There are also plenty of toppings, including duck, venison, peanut butter bites, as well as steak and sweet potato.

“There are so many dogs in West Chester,” said shop owner Suzanne Tretowicz. “We see the best side of people because everybody’s happy when they’re spoiling their pets.”

Most of the offered ice cream is lactose free, while the rest is goat’s milk based. There are plenty of other goodies in addition to ice cream and treats, from spa products and shampoos to medicine to dog beer.

Salty Paws also hosts many activities, such as birthday parties, ice cream socials, and specific breed meetups.

And for once, the doggies get to eat their treats at the table!
