When owner Kellie Gwaltney-Greer of the Avondale-based Chesco Dance Center opened it 2009, she was never expecting the leaps and bounds that it would grow over the years as she welcomes participants for the 14th season of dance classes, writes Steven Hoffman for the Chester County Press.

The reach of the studio has brought in hundreds of students from all over the area, leading to the most recent and necessary opening of its third studio in the London Grove Shopping Center this past August.

“Our goal is to provide a place for students to ignite their love of dance, to be part of something that is joyous and to find their true passion for the art of dance,” said Gwaltney-Greer. “We try to instill positivity and remind all of our dancers and parents to support and inspire each other.”

Students of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join, whether they call themselves beginners or are at a pre-professional level. Various types of dance are offered, including jazz, tap, Pointe, ballet, contemporary, acro dance, and more.

Currently, the studio is preparing for their presentation of “The Nutcracker” and have plans for a trip in 2023 to Walt Disney World to perform at the Magic Kingdom.
