Downingtown Resident Among Castaways on Newest Season of ‘Survivor’ TV Series

By

The popular Survivor tv show will return for its 43rd season on Sept. 21, and among the 18 new castaways is Downingtown resident Lindsay Carmine, writes staff from CBS Los Angeles.

Carmine, 42, is a pediatric nurse who will star in the Emmy Award-winning series for a new chapter on the ultimately competitive island of Fiji.

Strategy, physical and mental endurance, and adaptability are just a few of the qualities needed if players want to outlast all others. They must navigate complex social games and forge alliances if they want to make it to the end to take home a $1 million prize and the title “Sole Survivor.”

“As one of the oldest players, I think people are going to underestimate me,” said Carmine, “so, I’m excited to come out here and take risks — risks that I’m not able to take in my everyday life.”
