See Which Six Chester County School Districts Placed Among Top 50 in Pennsylvania for 2023

Chester County is home to six of the top 50 school districts in Pennsylvania for 2023, according to a new ranking by Niche

To determine the 2023 Best School Districts in Pennsylvania, Niche performed an analysis of data provided by the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews submitted by students and parents. Factors that were evaluated include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, and more. 

The highest-ranked Chester County school district is Tredyffrin-Easttown School District, which once again came second with an average graduation rate of 97 percent. Eighty-eight percent of its students are proficient in reading and 74 percent are proficient in math. 

Next is Unionville-Chadds Ford School District, which also broke into the top ten in seventh place, followed by Great Valley School District in No. 15. 

West Chester Area School District came in at No. 25, while Downingtown Area School District ranked at No. 30. 

The list is rounded out by Owen J. Roberts School District at No. 35.
