Alivia ‘Liv’ Juliana, a Malvern native and Great Valley High School graduate, was an inspiration to all who knew her, writes Neil Geoghegan for the Daily Local News

During her 19 years of life, Juliana always strived to make a difference.

“Liv made a difference every day,” said her mother, Marie Juliana. “She really did.”

And she is continuing to do so even several years after her death. For the third year in a row, a charity golf event held in her honor raised money to support the physical and mental health and wellness of local youth. The third annual Liv2BeKind Memorial Golf Marathon took place on Monday at Applecross Country Club.

Juliana found a true passion in golf and went from being a newbie to Pioneer Athletic Conference girls’ individual champion within four years. She did this even as her health kept deteriorating due to several debilitating conditions that ultimately pushed her to take her own life.

“She had so much to give, and her body just couldn’t keep up with all that she wanted to do,” said her mother.
