Laura Manion, president of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, made the statewide list of forty individuals under the age of 40 who are considered change-makers that share a common drive to improve the lives of fellow Pennsylvanians through their work and words, according to a report by Pennsylvania’s City & State.

Manion, who is also a former VISTA Millennial Superstar, started serving as president of the CCCBI this past May. In her previous role at Great Lakes regional office for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, she pursued legislative, political, media, and more resources through throughout nearby states.

“What I learned, traveling from Indiana to Toledo or Michigan, is that even though we’re a diverse country, we’re all working through the same issues: workforce, supply chain, inflation,” said Manion.

The Chester County native has recently started trying to bring together her diverse constituency around a federal infrastructure bill.

As president of the CCCBI, she believes that her role allows her to use all of her strengths of “fundraising, public policy, and just being a people person.”
