Fort Washington law firm Timoney Knox has acquired a Main Line firm.

Fort Washington law firm Timoney Knox has enlarged its firm’s presence with the acquisition of law firm Davis Bennett Spiess & Livingood in Wayne, writes Jeff Blumenthol for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The firm has 24 lawyers in its firm, now adding Davis Bennett partner Carol Livingood, as well as colleague Bass Wilder Chadwick.

“By merging our resources, Carol’s clients will now have a wide array of non-estate law services at their disposal,” said Timoney Knox Managing Partner Scott Wolpert. “Many of our own clients have indicated an interest in exploring business opportunities in the thriving Main Line business community. This merger will allow for that to more easily happen. For these reasons and more, the merger is a definite win-win situation for both firms’ clients.”

Timoney Knox will be keeping the Davis Bennett office in Wayne, so it can continue to serve the Main Line and Chester County clients. The Wayne office is the third office, after Washington D.C., where Timoney Knox had added Keith Vernon, a consumer class action litigator.

The Fort Washington firm has already cemented a foundation with clients due to former Managing Partner George Riter.
