Kennett Square-based landscape designer Danilo Maffei has helped a Malvern family, which drew inspiration from Lake Tahoe, turn their backyard into the relaxation place of their dreams, writes Eileen Smith Dallabrida for Main Line Today. 

Maffei converted a one-acre plot of land into a picturesque outdoor retreat that combines natural beauty with clean-cut designs.

Taking into consideration the interior and exterior design of the 25-year-old farmhouse-style residence, he renovated parts of the house and backyard area in line with the owners’ vision.

While the family already adored their turquoise pool, remodeling included a fire pit, stone patio, planting garden, and pergola for outdoor dining. 

“Outdoor fire features have been around for a long time, but they’ve really taken off since the COVID-19 pandemic has made people value spending time outdoors even more,” said Maffei. 

Other amenities for the family to enjoy are a seating area with cozy chairs, a built-in gas grill with granite countertops, and illuminating lights.
