Leah Davey, a Berwyn native and Conestoga High School graduate, and Kayla Matthews, a former West Chester resident, joined forces to start Main Line Ma, which serves as a resource for local mothers that provides activities, community, and support, writes Melissa Jacobs for Main Line Tonight

The two women met last summer, when both found themselves with few activities they could do as new moms during the pandemic.

Davey decided to create a playgroup that met outdoors at a Media playground. Matthews, who had just recently moved to Media, was happy to join the group, and the two women soon hit it off. They are both special education teachers who wanted enriching activities for their kids.

“This region has so much to offer, but it’s often hard to find listings of kid-friendly things in one place,” said Davey.

To solve this issue, they started Main Line Ma on Instagram, which offers curated lists of events and interesting activities for the region. The social media platform is an easy way for mothers to connect no matter their location.

Their endeavor has turned out so successful that they are now doing paid partnerships and giveaways, along with other collaborations with local businesses.
