After purchasing Kreutz Creek Vineyards in West Grove several months ago, winemaker Kyle Jones is ready to start operating under a new name, The Acadian Wine Company, writes Richard Gaw for the Chester County Press

“Winemaking is a creative outlet for me, but starting from scratch in the wine industry seems like a daunting undertaking, but the potential of our growing regions and taking over a turn-key operation has made this more achievable,” said Jones.

Jones previously served as head winemaker at Nissley Vineyards & Winery in Lancaster County. He is preparing the vineyards to grow Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Vidal.

These grapes will be processed at the property’s small yet efficient production facility. Additionally, he is converting several rooms and the exterior deck of the home where the previous owners lived into a wine-tasting area for guests.

“I want this to be a space where people can partake in a celebration of wine,” he said. “We want our guests to be welcomed here to our ‘home,’ where they can enjoy the fruits of our labor on this magnificent piece of property.”
