CEO Claudia Timbo of CompanyVoice in Blue Bell employs a unique hiring model that initially focused on hiring mature workers with special skills in banking, insurance, healthcare, and other regulated industries.

That approach quickly expanded to people with disabilities, transitioning professionals, veterans, and their families.

Claudia has also partnered with a federal program giving grants to outfit workstations for agents with physical disabilities.

“Since 2012, we have been creating jobs in the region for a diverse group of workers. Through extensive training and credentialing of our agents, CompanyVoice becomes a seamless extension of our client’s business,” says Timbo, President and CEO.

Linda Vetter, Program Manager, is from East Norriton and calls herself a Baby Boomer. She worked as a manager at places such as Estee Lauder Companies,  John Kennedy Ford, and American National Insurance for P&C, Life and Health.

She currently manages a national insurance project. “I am licensed in health, life and P&C and have worked with health insurance projects in the past and present. I have been at Company Voice since August 2020, a little over a year and a half,” Linda says.

“I was recommended for a manager position to Claudia by a former colleague. I was extremely impressed by the CompanyVoice website and was a hiring model that truly resonated with me.”

Kathy King, a Baby Boomer, who is a call center representative from Ambler, had worked for 30 years in daycare, over 10 years in banking, and now for the last 3 plus years as a call center representative.

“I was attracted to the role because each project was short-term.  This allows me to work with different projects and people,” Kathy says. “I like working at CompanyVoice because there is a wide variety of programs to work on which allows you to learn new skills and expand your experience.  I also like the fact that age is not a factor.”

Scott Purdy

Scott Purdy, a Baby Boomer from Hatboro, has spent much of his career in the contact center arena in positions such as Customer Service Representative, Team Leader, Quality Analyst Manager, member of the training team, and Manager of Training and Development.

“After spending 18 years working for one of the nation’s leading diversified health care companies, downsizing became a reality for me. It’s at that time my search for a company where I could continue my passion for training and development while helping others and watching them succeed took root at CompanyVoice,” he says.

He now manages the internal training department at CV and has been there for seven years.

Paige Eckhoff

Paige Eckhoff, a Supervisor, Insurance Account, is a Gen Z part-time college student whose mother had worked with Claudia previously and recommended she apply to CompanyVoice.

Paige likes that the job is truly flexible and if the daycare closes because of COVID-19, she can go into HR without fear or anxiety of how she is going to tell them; it’s no questions asked, just concern my child is OK.

“I have been given the tools to do a good job and have been on four different projects and usually felt confident by the halfway point of the training,” she says, as well as learning to handle high-pressure situations.

CompanyVoice went from a 100% on-site operation to a virtual operation during the pandemic, and their commitment to state-of-the-art technology enabled them to pivot over a two-month period. They maintain a hybrid model today.

“CompanyVoice cultivates a positive work environment. It allows for a good work-life balance along with a climate where creative juices flow, team collaboration focused on results takes place, and a caring attitude towards one another inside and outside of the work environment. I would also share that it is a company that strives for quality work but also allows for time to inject humor and fun into the process,” Scott Purdy emphasizes.
