CCRES openings include professionals needed on the high-school and middle-school levels.

CCRES, Downingtown, specializes in providing over 1,500 professional, dedicated staff members to meet the needs of children and adults challenged by autism, behavioral health issues, mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities. It works in collaboration with school districts, intermediate units, and the behavioral health system.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Downingtown

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a direct service (face-to-face) provider in the adult day program. The role supports consumers in community settings using a person-centered planning approach to assist individuals in acquiring, maintaining, and improving self-help, domestic, socialization, and adaptive skills.

The Monday to Friday schedule is from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.; however, it can be flexed among DSPs spanning each other 2–3 days each, across the Monday-to-Friday workweek.

The position reports to the Achieve program, 150 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 430, Downingtown and comes with 11 paid annual holidays.

Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA), a professional earning $20 an hour, is a field employee position, working on all student days during the school calendar year.  

PCAs provide one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents with emotional and behavior disorders in the school setting based on medical needs. Prompt intervention is also a key skill, to address issues of behavior management, conflict resolution, and anger management.

Success in this role also hinges on peer interaction skills based on the IEP goals or behavioral treatment plan provided by school official or a Behavior Specialist Consultant.

Instructional Assistant (IA) Kennett Square

The Special Education Instructional Assistant (IA) works with students who have complex disabilities and unique needs such as autism, sensory disabilities, moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and students with physical disabilities. The role also monitors student progress and implements classroom management programs.

There are several opportunities for this career move: Bancroft Elementary School: Monday–Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; New Garden Elementary School: Monday–Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; Kennett Middle School, Monday–Friday, 7:10 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.; Kennett High School, Monday–Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.; Technical College High School Pennock’s Bridge, Monday–Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
