Senior Systems Administrator

This position is tasked with providing high-level, wide-range support of the company’s IT infrastructure and actively working with engineering and operational teams to create innovative opportunities that advance work processes. He/she will design, organize, and modify the company’s existing systems, as well as evaluate the effectiveness and make necessary adjustments. SSM is early on in its Microsoft 365 migration. This individual will help architect and build SSM’s cloud environment from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate or master’s degree in an IT-related field and at least eight years of related experience. IT certifications are preferred, especially Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Teams, or Azure. Systems administration experience with Microsoft 365 is required.

Survey Crew Chief

This position will perform all aspects of site and boundary reconnaissance, construction stakeout, and boundary, topographic, roadway, and as-built surveys, ultimately turning that field data into AutoCAD drawings.

The ideal candidate will possess an AS in Surveying or related degree and three to seven years of relevant experience; experience with AutoCAD Civil3d and Robotic Total Station and data collectors; knowledge of ALTA land surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, and construction staking; and the ability to use Microsoft Office and other computer software.

Survey Technician

This position will operate all field surveying instruments, including robotic survey instruments, GPS surveying instruments, and auto-levels. He/she will learn to download field data to be used in preparing AutoCAD drawings in Civil3D.

The ideal candidate will possess an AS in Surveying Technology or a related degree and experience with AutoCAD Civil3d and Robotic Total Station and data collectors; the ability to work outside in all conditions; and the ability to work with others and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities of this position include the mechanical design of HVAC and other building systems for higher education, healthcare, data center, and industrial projects. He/she will directly interface with clients, vendors, contractors, and associates of SSM; perform mechanical design calculations and standard computations, such as building heating and cooling; and follow building design and energy codes and standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering; seven to nine years of experience in the design of HVAC systems; knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit; and strong written and verbal communication, self-motivation, and leadership skills.
