A Path To Hope, an Exton-based nonprofit that empowers people to seek treatment for mental health, just received a big boost from some philanthropic-minded individuals in the local real estate industry.

Kennett Square’s Rapid Mortgage Company recently held its Holiday Mega-Mixer at Victory Brewing in Downingtown, where A Path To Hope was the beneficiary of the annual networking event.

For the live auction, Renzo Naimo, the Broker Owner of RE/MAX Ace Realty in Downingtown, offered a one-year membership to his office as a vehicle to raise money for the charity.

Dan Marovich — a RE/MAX commercial and residential agent renowned for providing buyers and sellers with professional, responsive, and attentive real estate services — submitted the winning bid at $2,100. In all, approximately $2,800 was raised for A Path To Hope.

“We try to give back throughout the entire year,” said Leonard Vannicola, Rapid Mortgage’s Producing Branch Manager. “One of our employees, David Graham, recently lost a good friend to suicide, and he helped organize this event as a fundraiser for A Path To Hope.”

A Path To Hope offers guidance in navigating mental health systems and support locating resources in and around Chester County. As a nonprofit, it relies on the kindness of others to help further its mission. Financial contributions go toward funding community presentations and events aimed at helping those in need. By improving access to locate resources, A Path To Hope empowers individuals to seek help and begin the process of healing.

“We don’t pay ourselves a salary and are dependent upon donations, so we’re incredibly thankful to receive this help from Rapid Mortgage,” said Holly O’Connell, who spent 24 years as a registered nurse before creating A Path To Hope in 2018. “We just opened up an office on Pottstown Pike in Exton, where people can come in and get resources.”
