For its second year, Home of the Sparrow in Chester County is encouraging homeowners and renters to decorate their homes for Valentine’s Day, as part of an awareness campaign to help those who have no home.

Participants are invited to decorate their windows and doors with downloadable hearts this Valentine’s Day season to raise awareness for the women, mothers, and children in Chester County who experience housing insecurity.

The goal of this year’s Home of the Sparrow campaign is to get 1,000 hearts in the windows and on the doors of homes across Chester County to represent the women and children that are helped by the Exton-based nonprofit.

It’s free to anyone who wants to participate and families are encouraged to get involved. Of course, donations are always welcome and can be easily made when you download and print out your heart decorations.

Once you’ve printed out the hearts and participation sign, put your best creative energy into decorating for Valentine’s Day.  Chocolate prizes will be awarded and your effort will focus awareness on those facing homelessness this winter.
