Circonus, a data tech startup based in Malvern, has completed a $10 million Series B led by Baird Capital. It plans to use the funds to double its staff, writes Kennedy Rose for The Philadelphia Business Journal.

Baird Capital was joined by NewSpring Capital, Osage Venture Partners, and Bull City Venture Partners in the funding round.

Circonus CEO Bob Moul met with Baird earlier this year. He felt “instant chemistry,” as Joanna Arras, a partner at Baird who will now join the Circonus board of directors, understood from the get-go what the company did and the market opportunity.

The data tech firm’s platform provides companies with a process to monitor, analyze, and manage high volumes of data that are generated through many ways, such as their networks, applications, and the cloud.

So far, the startup has managed to raise $23.3 million overall. The Series B follows a record year for the startup, which will be working on increasing its employee count from 25 to 50 in the next year.

“We’re growing, we’re winning, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of an organization that’s growing and winning,” said Moul.
