Phoenixville resident Mary Katherine Schenkel has joined forces with Suzanne Zelov of Villanova to launch a new men’s skin care line, Young Buck Skin. Donna Rovins reported the opening for the Daily Local News.

The two entrepreneurs created Young Buck Skin in response to what they saw as a void in the men’s product marketplace.

The skin care line includes body washes, beard softening oil, facial lotion, and skin-smoothing balms.

The brand launched officially on Sept. 9 at the Merion Cricket Club. For months, Schenkel and Zelov researched essential oils that are both beneficial to the skin and act as mood enhancers. To create their signature scents, they met with one of the top experts in essential oil blending.

The line consists of natural products that are hydrating but not greasy or pore-clogging. The two women use organic ingredients, along with sustainable packaging where possible.

“Our husbands are both outdoor sportsmen and have a love of nature, hunting, and fly fishing,” they said. “So we married our love of natural skin and body care products to an easy-to-use line for men that contains natural ingredients and scent profiles.”
