Legendary rock bassist Kasim Sulton, who has performed with Hall & Oates and other music icons, will perform songs from his new solo album, Kasim 2021, at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 7 PM.
Best known for his tenure as the bassist with the groundbreaking band Utopia, Sulton has performed on albums that have sold more than 85 million copies worldwide.
Working alongside bands such as Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Meatloaf, and more, Sulton has played a key role in shaping the new age of rock for future listeners.
“Kasim’s music is one that will resonate with all audiences. Whether he’s working with other rock legends or on his own, you know him when you hear him,” said April Evans, executive director of Uptown! “We are so excited for his performance and to offer this first-class show to our community.”
Although he is renowned for the work he’s done as a bassist and back-up vocalist, Sulton has been a solo artist for more than 40 years and has released numerous tracks and albums in his time in the industry.
Sulton’s show is just one of many exciting performances scheduled for September at Uptown!
